Chief Accountant

A leading international organization in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to join its Türkiye operations. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in statutory accounting, taxation, financial reporting, and ERP systems, with the ability to support a fast-paced and expanding business.The Chief Accountant will take full responsibility for managing the accounting cycle, tax compliance, monthly and annual closings, financial reporting, and audit coordination. The role supports senior management by providing accurate, timely financial insights and ensuring adherence to both local regulations and internal policies.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee all accounting, tax, and reporting activities for Türkiye operations.Manage invoicing and accounting for equipment sales, field services, repairs, and related business streams.Lead monthly and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Oversee cost and production accounting for local manufacturing operations.Conduct regular reconciliations with customers, vendors, and intercompany entities.Prepare and file CPT, VAT, and other tax submissions in accordance with Turkish regulations.Coordinate statutory audits with external auditors and internal stakeholders.Ensure compliance with Turkish accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies.Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for management decision-making.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related discipline.CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors.Strong knowledge of Turkish GAAP, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.Experience working with ERP/accounting systems (1C, SAP, or similar).Fluency in Turkish and English.Employment DetailsWork Type: Full-time, On-site
