Finance and Accounting Manager

Job Title: Finance and Accounting ManagerLocation: Istanbul, Maltepe (commuting to the location is required)Engagement: Full-timeReporting to: CFOKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial record keeping & compliance:Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounting processes for the Turkish entity, ensuring strict adherence to the Turkish Legislation (VUK, TTK).Accurately record and classify all general ledger transactions, including asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries.Manage and reconcile daily bank transactions, cash flow, and payment tracking.Tax and reporting coordination:Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of all periodic tax declarations in close collaboration with the sworn fiscal (YMM).Ensure all necessary documentation for tax submissions is accurately prepared and provided to the YMM.Coordinate the preparation of financial statements by ensuring the required documentation and accurate data are provided to the YMM in a timely manner.Operations & payroll:Ensure proper classification and booking of expense and sales invoices.Process and enter purchase invoices (vendor invoices) into the accounting system accurately and timely.Handle administrative tasks related to financial and accounting operations.Review and verify the monthly payroll calculations for all Turkey-based employees.Analysis & Technology:Utilize advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel to develop financial models, perform detailed analysis, and generate management reports.Continuously seek to improve financial processes and internal controls.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Education: Has successfully graduated from university faculties of Business Administration, Economics or similar fields.Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience in corporate accounting and finance roles.Technical Expertise: Deep and practical knowledge of VUK and TTK applications.Software Skills:Microsoft Office apps, especially Microsoft Excel.Experience with a widely-used ERP or local accounting software.Soft Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills, team player.Bonus:Prior experience with international companies or knowledge of German accounting principles and DATEV is a significant advantage.Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is a strong advantage/asset.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Net monthly compensation: 60 000 - 80 000 TL, based on the seniority level
