Chief Financial Officer - Europe Netherlands Major International Engineering Contractor A global engineering and energy major is establishing its European renewbles business, and is seeking a founding CFO to help build the organisation from the ground up. This is one of the first two to three hires in the region, offering genuine influence over strategy, structure and long-term value creation.The Role: You’ll shape the full financial architecture for a new European entity: budgets, controls, reporting, governance and investment frameworks. The early months will be hands-on as you embed processes, establish banking and audit relationships, and support the legal and commercial teams on contracting, bid structures and partnership models.As the business scales, the remit shifts toward strategic finance, capital planning and steering the portfolio. Think of it as a blend of builder, operator and adviser during a pivotal market expansion.Requirements:Proven track record in a senior finance role within a start up/scale up company (preferably engineering or infrastructure). Strong command of project finance, cost control and cashflow discipline.Experience setting up or scaling a regional business unit.Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders across Europe and Asia.The temperament to thrive in a start-up-within-a-global-group environment.You’ll be joining at inception, shaping everything from governance to growth trajectory.
