What You Will DoWe’re seeking a proactive, solutions-driven professional who’s excited to harness the power of AI and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, complete, and timely recording of financial information for the Group, and for providing essential financial and administrative support to the team. Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure timely and accurate preparation of `monthly and quarterly management reports.
Prepare monthly financial statements for the Group along with analysis of results. Prepare and submit all regulatory reports both foreign and domestic as required either monthly and/or quarterly and other information requests. Maintain the Olympic general ledger system ensuring timely and accurate postings of transactions and preparation of reconciliation and analyses for select balances and transactions. Prepare schedules and other information to support annual corporate tax filings as well as periodic HST and VAT returns.
Prepare budget and audit schedules to assist with the completion of major annual events for the Cidel group of companies in a timely and accurate manner. Support management in optimizing workflows and processes through report development, system enhancements, and AI-driven solutions. Any other job-related duties as required. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field. A minimum of 3-5 years’ accounting experience. Professional Accounting Designation is desired but candidates at an advanced stage of attaining the qualification may be considered. Working knowledge and experience with financial reporting.
Intermediate to Expert level ability with MS Excel and Co-Pilot is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills. Excellent analytical, logical and critical thinking skills. Strong problem-solving skills. Proven ability to analyze, identify, communicate, and assist in resolving complex issues. Ability to review technical specification documents and translate into working reporting models. Strong accounting knowledge with an understanding of accounting and financial concepts and analysis. Adept in preparation of consolidated financial statements. Meticulous attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work.
