Parkes Shire Council is offering Apprentices, Trainees and Cadets opportunities as part of the Fresh Start for Local Government Grant Funded Program for a motivated individual to join our team as a Civil Construction Apprentice.More information about the role can be found in the Civil Construction Apprentice Position DescriptionAbout YouParkes Shire Council are looking for these skills and qualitiesMotivated and willing to learnReliable, trustworthy and punctualFlexible team player with good communication skillsAbility to problem solve and use self-initiativeAbility to work in a team environmentGood communication, organisational and time management skillsHave a genuine interest in the role for which you are applyingAbout Our Cadet, Apprentice And Trainee (CAT) Program 2025Parkes Shire Council is offering cadetship, apprenticeship and traineeship opportunities for highly motivated and enthusiastic people looking to gain on-the-job experience and practical knowledge whilst working towards a nationally accredited qualification through a Registered Training Organisation.The CAT Program provides you with the opportunity to gain on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals, with all training and study costs paid for by Council. The programs run from two (2) to eight (8) years in duration, depending on the level of qualification being undertaken.RemunerationAs a trainee you will be employed under the Traineeship Band of the Local Government (State) Award 2023. The commencement level will be based on age and any prior qualifications/experiences.
