We prioritize transparency and tailor our solutions to each development.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role for a Civil Engineer and Project Manager located in Kingston, ON.The following qualifications and criteria are required:Have a civil engineering degree from an accredited University.Hold a valid engineering licence with PEO.Hold a valid driver’s licence and have access to vehicle as needed for work travel.Have a minimum of 5 years working experience in the field of municipal infrastructure design and land development projects, including:lot grading design and earthworks, storm drainage, stormwater management systems and servicing for storm, sanitary, and water.preparation of civil engineering design drawings and reports.preparation of documents required during tender and construction phases.Be adept with MS Office software (word and excel).Have strong verbal and written communication skills.Have excellent organizational and time management skills.Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset. The following personal aptitudes are expected:Possess strong analytical and detail-oriented skills, along with strong time management and problem-solving skills.Able to work collaboratively with coworkers, clients, and contractors.Able to work under pressure, prioritize, manage deadlines and multi-task.Have very strong work ethic, including accountability, honesty, integrity, and transparency.Possess interpersonal skills which foster positive environment. Here are some examples of tasks you may expect in the Engineering role:Work under the direction of senior staff and mentor junior engineering staff.Work with colleagues on day-to-day tasks and coordinate with designers, project managers and CAD staff.Develop engineering concepts from preliminary data.Prepare preliminary and detailed design drawings associated with municipal infrastructure and Land Development projects which include roads, sewers, watermain, site grading, site layout, stormwater management systems and site servicing.Prepare engineering calculations and documents.Prepare costing analysis.Prepare tender documents, including construction contracts and technical specifications.Provide construction documents as required for construction contracts and engineering certifications. Here are some examples of tasks you may expect in the Project Management role:Work under the direction of Senior Staff to support project management and design duties.Work collaboratively and coordinate with project team, clients, and approval agencies.Ensure that the projects’ needs are met in a timely and effective manner.Manage projects on behalf of the client to meet their needs including, but not limited to, managing contractors, project budgets and schedules.Write correspondence to external agencies, clients and project team members.
