Job Title: AWS Cloud Consultant (Infrastructure)Location: Malaysia Experience Required: Minimum 5 years Notice Period: Maximum 30 days Employment Type: Full-timeJob DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Consultant specializing in infrastructure architecture, optimization, and configuration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud environments on AWS. This role requires hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, migration, performance tuning, automation, and adherence to best practices.The AWS Cloud Consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams and clients to assess cloud readiness, design solutions, implement infrastructure components, and continuously optimize AWS environments for reliability and efficiency.Key Responsibilities1. AWS Infrastructure Design & ImplementationDesign, deploy, and manage scalable and highly available AWS infrastructure solutions.Implement core AWS services including EC2, VPC, ELB/ALB/NLB, IAM, S3, CloudFront, RDS, EFS, Lambda, and others.Configure networking components such as subnets, NAT gateways, transit gateways, VPN, and security groups.Design DR strategies and implement backup and restoration mechanisms using AWS tools.2. Optimization & Performance TuningConduct cloud infrastructure assessments and recommend performance and cost optimizations.Implement auto-scaling strategies, caching mechanisms, and resource fine-tuning.Optimize storage, compute, and network services for cost efficiency and reliability.Monitor workloads and implement improvements using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other observability tools.3. Configuration, Automation & DeploymentDevelop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.Automate deployment pipelines using tools such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.Configure and maintain system monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.Perform configuration management using Ansible, Chef, or similar tools.4. Cloud Security & ComplianceImplement security best practices including IAM roles/policies, KMS encryption, key rotation, and secure networking.Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, PCI, MAS, etc.).Conduct periodic security audits and vulnerability remediations.5. Cloud Migration & ModernizationLead and support migration of on-premise infrastructure to AWS using tools like AWS Migration Hub, DMS, SMS.Evaluate workloads for modernization opportunities (serverless, containerization, managed services).Support hybrid cloud environments and connectivity setup.6. Support, Troubleshooting & DocumentationProvide L3 technical support for AWS infrastructure-related issues.Conduct root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.Maintain architecture diagrams, SOPs, runbooks, and documentation.Required Skills & QualificationsMinimum 5 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure design and administration.Strong expertise in VPC architecture, EC2, S3, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch, RDS/ Aurora, Route 53, and related core services.Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC.Proficiency in Linux administration, shell scripting, and/or Python.Experience in configuring CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.Good understanding of networking concepts: DNS, VPN, routing, firewalls, subnets, and load balancing.Experience with containers (ECS, EKS, Docker) is a plus.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex cloud challenges.AWS Certification(s) preferred:AWS Solutions Architect – Associate/ProfessionalAWS SysOps AdministratorAWS DevOps EngineerPreferred AttributesStrong communication and consulting skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Experience working with clients in enterprise environments.Ability to join within 30 days.
