Job Description

As a Brand Experience Assistant at Cloudy Bay Vineyards, you will be an integral part of our customer experience team, helping guests connect with our iconic wines and the story behind them. In this part-time (20 hours per week) role, you will assist in the smooth operation of our brand home, ensuring that every visitor leaves with a memorable experience. You will support the planning and execution of events and private tastings, ensuring a seamless experience for all guests. You will be conducting wine tastings and provide insightful information about our wines and vineyards.

You will work closely with the team to ensure effective communication and a warm, welcoming environment. Bring your passion for wine and customer service to create exceptional experiences at Cloudy Bay. Your day-to-day will include:

Customer Experience and Cellar DoorMeticulously set up and break down tastings for various groups and individuals (VIP, Trade, Cellar Door, and Private Experiences)Assist in delivering a range of hosting and tasting experiences, providing exceptional customer servicePrepare, serve, and maintain Cellar Door plattersProcess sales transactions for wine, gourmet food items, and branded merchandiseProactively recommend and upsell wines, menu selections, and food-wine pairingsSupport guided tastings in the tasting room, showcasing in-depth knowledge of Cloudy Bay winesMaintain the tasting room's presentationProvide attentive and high-quality food and wine service during hosted eventsOrganize and execute setup and breakdown for on and off-site lunches and dinnersManage hospitality tableware, linen, and provisions, including inventory managementSupport preparations for large group visits, including setting up dinners, lunches, on and off-site tastings, and excursionsThe Shack Guest ExperienceServe as the main point of contact for all matters related to the Shack guest accommodationPrepare and provision The Shack to ensure it is guest-ready for arrivals, including occasional weekend work as requiredPrepare for and oversee all guest check-in and check-out processesOrganize and manage all cleaning and laundry servicesWork closely with the maintenance team to manage the building maintenanceRequirementsTo be successful in this position, you will have:
