Our dedicated and experienced team are leading our business forward into the future through an unwavering commitment to quality and safety.About the RoleThe Commercial Accountant (CA) role is to ensure Riverside Industrial Sands meets or exceeds their commercial arrangements with clients. The CA is also responsible for the accounting and administration of these businesses in a timely manner, including ensuring stable financial performance through accurate recording, reporting and forecasting.Key ResponsibilitiesDuties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Work with the General Manager to prepare and deliver Strategic Plans and quarterly forecast reviewsEnsure contract obligations are metPerform the Management Accountant roleRespond to client requests and participate in customer facing meetingsWrite monthly board papers with variance analysis and ensure all transactions and reconciliations are recorded on time and accuratelyAdminister and attend client Contract Review Meetings as requiredMonitor cash position and cash flow forecastAuthorise purchase ordersParticipate in internal and external audits as requiredEssential Competencies and CharacteristicsStrong financial and accounting literacyStrong commercial acumenHigh level user of Microsoft ExcelStrong leadership potentialStrong interpersonal skillsHigh attention to detailGood problem solving and lateral thinkingTeam playerFacilitator of changeWillingness & ability to regularly travel to site and / or other business unitsProven ability to deliver commercial outcomesRequired Qualifications and TrainingBachelor of Business (Majoring in Accounting or Finance)CA or CPA qualifiedSafety and Wellbeing ResponsibilitiesAll staff must:Take reasonable care of, and cooperate with, actions taken to protect the health and safety of both themselves and othersReport all accidents, incidents and hazards to their supervisor as soon as is practicableDo whatever is reasonably practical to ensure that both the workplace and the work itself are safeIf you believe this is you, please forward your resume with a covering letter by clicking ‘apply’ for this job.
