OverviewThe Commercial Analyst will play a key role in supporting the commercial organization through data-driven insights and analysis. This role will focus on sales performance monitoring, market and customer trend analysis, KPI reporting, monitoring project pipelines, benchmarking industry performance, and supporting strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will work closely with customer facing teams and to provide clear, actionable intelligence that enhances decision-making and drives commercial growth across the business. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with business acumen and thrives in a dynamic, data-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesSales & Commercial Analysis:Analyze sales performance across regions and customer segments to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.Provide regular and ad hoc sales reports to the commercial leadership team to support strategic and operational decisions.Conduct deep-dive analysis into sales drivers and pricing trendsProject Pipeline MonitoringTrack and analyze project pipeline trends to support forecasting and resource allocation.Provide insights on conversion rates and pipeline health.Industry Reporting & BenchmarkingGather and interpret market and industry data to benchmark company performance.Prepare competitive analysis reports for leadership.KPI TrackingDevelop and maintain dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).Segment Sales TaggingMaintain accurate tagging of sales by segment for performance analysis.Collaborate with commercial teams to validate data integrity.Customer Portfolio ReviewConduct regular reviews of customer portfolios to identify growth opportunities and risks.Support account managers with actionable insights for customer strategies.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.Experience3+ years of experience in a commercial, business analysis, or finance role, preferably in the chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.Proven experience in data analysis, KPI reporting, and market/competitive analysis.Strong understanding of sales processes and market dynamics.SkillsAdvanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Strong communication and presentation skills.
