Contract (12 months) | Potential Extension or ConversionWe are seeking an experienced Contract Communications Specialist to support corporate communications initiatives for a large, complex organization. This is a year‑long contract with the possibility of extension or conversion, ideal for a communications generalist who thrives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.Position SummaryThe Communications Specialist is a well‑rounded corporate communications professional responsible for developing, managing, and executing a wide range of internal communication content and campaigns. This role supports internal stakeholders through strategic messaging, project management, digital content, and event communications, while ensuring clarity, consistency, and creativity across all deliverables.The ideal candidate brings strong writing and editing skills, experience managing multiple projects, comfort working with internal clients, and a solid understanding of digital and visual communication tools.Key ResponsibilitiesContent Development & Management (≈50%)Develop creative concepts and write clear, engaging content for internal audiencesProduce a variety of communication materials including memos, publications, intranet content, posters, brochures, presentations, and other digital or print assetsEnsure content aligns with brand voice, style guidelines, and organizational objectivesProject & Account Management (≈20%)Manage multiple communication projects simultaneously, following established processes and timelinesServe as a trusted communications partner to internal stakeholdersApply strong time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlinesCommunication Strategy & Campaigns (≈15%)Partner with clients and colleagues in a consultative capacity to support short‑ and long‑term communication initiativesDevelop and execute creative work plans for individual projects and larger campaignsContribute to messaging strategy, campaign planning, and executionSocial Media & Digital Awareness (≈5%)Demonstrate a foundational understanding of how social media supports corporate culture and communication goalsProvide input on leveraging digital platforms appropriately for internal audiencesPresentation Development (≈5%)Create and edit professional, visually engaging presentations using Microsoft PowerPointAdministrative Support (≈5%)Complete routine administrative tasks such as timesheets, invoice processing, and internal meetingsRequired QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree requiredExperience: 5+ years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, public relations, or advertisingExperience supporting internal communications and multiple stakeholdersBackground in electric utilities, human resources or benefits communication, internal communications, or financial/401(k) communications is a plusEquivalent Experience: 8+ years of related professional communications experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeSkills & Technical RequirementsExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skillsStrong command of grammar, punctuation, and AP styleProficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, OneDrive)Advanced PowerPoint skillsExperience with publication or content management is preferredFamiliarity with Adobe Creative Suite is a plusStrong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and work effectively with diverse internal clientsWhy This RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a communications professional looking for meaningful, long‑term contract work with exposure to enterprise‑level communications, diverse stakeholders, and impactful internal initiatives—with the potential to extend or convert based on performance and business needs.
