This role focuses on community strategy, moderation, content publishing, engagement programming, and collaboration with marketing and social teams. Candidates must have strong experience in community management, content creation, and moderation leadership.Top Must-Have SkillsCommunity StrategyCommunity ModerationContent Drafting & PublishingKey Responsibilities1. Day-to-Day Community ManagementManage daily operations of the AMD Gaming Discord server.Moderate conversations to maintain a respectful, inclusive, and brand-safe community.Publish engaging content and ensure adherence to community guidelines.2. Community Programming & EngagementPlan and run engagement activities such as polls, AMAs, watch parties, and themed events.Create initiatives that increase participation and strengthen community bonds.3. Member Recognition & RetentionIdentify and recognize top contributors.Develop programs that encourage positive participation and build long-term advocates.4. Volunteer Moderator LeadershipManage and mentor a team of 12 volunteer moderators.Guide decisions on muting, banning, conflict resolution, and rule enforcement.Ensure consistent moderation practices and maintain community standards.5. Communication & Cross-Functional CollaborationServe as the primary liaison for community updates, moderation changes, and brand initiatives.Collaborate with social media, product, and marketing teams to align community activities with broader campaigns.6. Server Innovation & StrategyStay updated on Discord platform features and apply best practices.Review server structure, roles, and processes to optimize engagement.Content & Communication Responsibilities1. Content CreationDraft, schedule, and publish content aligned with brand voice and campaign timelines.2. Community Feedback & InsightsTrack community sentiment and highlight trends to internal teams.Provide insights to improve community strategy and product marketing.3. Campaign ExecutionSupport coordinated campaigns with marketing, product, and partners.Amplify messaging across community channels.Events & Activations1. Event PlanningSupport online events such as game nights and watch parties.Handle event logistics and schedules with internal/external teams.2. Performance TrackingMeasure and report event engagement and community feedback.Provide recommendations for future events.3. Sweepstakes & GiveawaysManage Gleam or similar sweepstakes programs.Ensure compliance and coordinate with agency partners.Operations & ReportingMaintain content calendars, trackers, and process documentation.Review weekly/monthly engagement and growth reports.Provide insights and optimization recommendations.Ensure ongoing alignment and training for volunteer moderators.Influencer & Partner SupportSupport influencer collaborations, giveaways, and special events.Coordinate partner-driven activities and ensure alignment with brand goals.Amplify influencer/partner content across the community.
