Job Description

Position Objective: Lead and manage the project control team, ensuring effective scheduling, cost estimation, budgeting, and risk management to maintain project alignment with objectives and timelines.Job Description & Responsibilities:Overseeing the project control functions, which include scheduling, cost estimation, budgeting, and risk management, this role ensures that construction projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget, while identifying and mitigating potential risks.Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain project integrity and provide accurate reporting to stakeholders.Lead the project control team responsible for scheduling, cost estimation, and budgeting, and develop and implement project control procedures to ensure effective project management and execution.Create and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera software (or similar tools), identify the critical path and dependencies between tasks, ensuring project timelines are realistic and achievable.Oversee the development of accurate cost estimates and project budgets, monitor project expenditures, and ensure that the project stays within budgetary constraints.Identify and assess potential risks to project success, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimise the impact of risks on project outcomes.Monitor and control project progress, cost, and schedule, prepare detailed reports for project stakeholders, provide updates on project status, risks, performance against the baseline schedule, and monitor mitigation actions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction teams, to ensure that all project control aspects are aligned with project goals.Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for project control and performance metrics, regularly review and adjust KPIs to ensure they accurately reflect project objectives and progress.Provide guidance and support to Construction Project Managers on project control aspects, ensuring that project teams are equipped with the tools and knowledge necessary to manage project controls effectively.Identify opportunities for improving project control processes and systems, and implement best practices and innovations to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of project controls.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Structural Engineering from an accredited university, master's degree in Business Administration will be a plus.Minimum of 15+ years of experience in construction management, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Control with hands-on expertise on scheduling, cost estimation, and risk management.Strong hands-on expertise in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Power BI.Strong data analytical skills.Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.A native Arabic speaker is preferred.
