Piper Maddox has partnered with a leading U.S. electrical engineering and construction contractor to identify two Traveling Construction Project Managers to join their growing Renewables Division in Moses Lake, WA and Las Vegas, NV. The company delivers utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, microgrid, and electrical infrastructure projects across the country, partnering with developers, EPCs, and energy companies to execute complex, high-profile projects. With a robust pipeline of projects totaling multiple gigawatts of installed or contracted solar capacity, the company is entering an exciting growth phase in the renewable energy market.The team manages a diverse portfolio of projects, including utility-scale solar, battery storage systems, EV charging infrastructure, and substations. Employees enjoy a dynamic environment where connections are encouraged both on-site and off through team events, networking opportunities, and company initiatives.The Traveling Construction Project Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of utility-scale construction projects, managing high-performing teams across multiple U.S. sites. This role requires coordination with internal teams—including engineering, procurement, and project controls—as well as external contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget, while supporting the scaling of the company’s construction management capability. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role offering significant autonomy, exposure to large-scale renewable projects, and opportunities for professional growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead utility-scale solar, battery storage, and other energy projects through the full construction lifecycle.Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement, and performance tracking to ensure financial and operational success.Direct and mentor construction teams, fostering a high-performance, safety-focused work environment.Collaborate with EPC partners, developers, internal teams, and subcontractors to maintain alignment with project objectives.Participate in site visits and project meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and mitigate risks.Contribute to process improvements and the development of the project management function.Qualifications5+ years of experience managing utility-scale solar or energy construction projects.Experience with EPCs, contractors, or developers preferred; experience managing union labor is a plus.Proven track record leading construction projects through the full lifecycle, including budgeting and scheduling.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.Willingness to travel extensively across multiple U.S. project sites.Valid U.S. driver’s license required; PMP or equivalent preferred.
