This is a technical underwriting role within Allianz Ireland's Construction team, responsible for underwriting a mixture of complex Construction risks, with an element of multinational clients and exposure to portfolio business. The role requires technical expertise, sound judgement, and the ability to navigate global programme structures while ensuring alignment with Allianz Group standards and local regulatory requirementsKey ResponsibilitiesManage and underwrite Construction renewals & new business risks to achieve GWP targets and profitability targetsLead engagements with brokers and their key clients with the support and collaboration of the Allianz Customer Relationship team to deliver on Allianz Construction and Liability targetsDevelop and maintain strong working relationships within the team, other areas of the business and external stakeholders and support their team colleagues in the underwriting of Construction and other Liability business as the need arises Engage with internal stakeholders in Customer, Pricing and Portfolio management to negotiate terms and conduct detailed risk assessment and acceptance within existing Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) framework agreementsShare knowledge and technical expertise with colleagues, contribute to personal and team technical development Identify and implement improvements in process, proposition or service to best serve our customer baseMaintain and develop strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to both lead and support key client and broker engagements Key Requirements / Skills & ExperienceCIP/MDI/ACII or equivalent professional qualification preferred.Ambitious individual with 3 years+ experience in commercial underwriting (Construction / Property / Liability), with demonstratable experience in the medium to large risk environment. Understanding of multinational program structures, fronting arrangements, and global compliance requirements would be beneficial.Why Join Us?
