Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesAdminister construction contracts in accordance with FIDIC, CIDA, and other bespoke contract conditions.Provide legal and contractual review advice to project teams across all phases of project execution.Manage claims and variations to ensure adherence to contractual requirements and applicable laws.Handle dispute resolution processes, including dispute adjudication, arbitration, and litigation.Implement contract administration procedures, training, and best practices.Required Qualifications & ExperienceLLB or equivalent Bachelor’s in Law.Attorney-at-Law (AAL) qualification from the Sri Lanka Law College (mandatory).A Master’s degree or Postgraduate qualification (LLM, PG Diploma, etc.) in a related field such as Construction Law, Commercial Law, or Dispute Resolution will be an advantage.2–4 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in a construction, engineering, or project management environment, or in a law firm specializing in commercial or construction law.Knowledge of standard construction contract forms (e.g., FIDIC, CIDA) will be an advantage.Excellent drafting and legal research skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Sinhala (Tamil will be an advantage).
