The role requires strong interpersonal skills, building trust and relationships both internally with our peers and externally with our partners. CORE DUTIES INCLUDE:Contracting of all product required by the Abbey Group, predominantly Ireland accommodation services for Abbey The Destination Experts and Moloney & Kelly (contracting may also include guides, transport and any other product as required) as directed by your Manager or Director.Negotiate the best rates and terms with suppliers both new and existing.Prepare, review and revise all documentation, generate reports as needed, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all areas. Develop and maintain strong relationships with all partners.Work collaboratively with internal departments to achieve the best results possible.Ensure product information ( such as images / contact details) are up to date in the relevant systems and details are shared. Both onsite and offsite supplier engagement required, including the co-ordination of suppliers visits and/or presentations at the Abbey offices. Assistance with the co-ordination of supplier invitations.Attendance at trade workshops as required.Attendance at regional hotel site visits as required. Support the management and training of trainees in the area.Any other duties as assigned from time to time by your Manager or Director (which maybe in any other area of the Company)Depending on role - Some international travel may be required and will be in compliance with the company’s Business Travel Policy.REQUIREMENTS: EssentialFluency in English (oral & written) 3rd level qualification or relevant experienceGood knowledge of the Irish tourism industry and its products Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detailExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA team player who can also work independently in a busy environmentEffective time management, meeting deadlinesDemonstrates flexibility and adaptability in response to changesStrong computer competencies with proficiency in MS officeDesirable: Prior experience in a similar role a distinct advantageExperience with dynamic contracting (Travel Managers) Abbey Group is an equal opportunities employer.
