We’re excited for what’s next, so with us, you can be too.Our teamWe are currently looking to recruit a Paralegal into our Litigation & Dispute Management department. This role will involving assisting our lawyers in our busy, dynamic and collaborative department.In this role, you will have exposure to high quality work and the opportunity to develop your skills further, learning from direct experience but supported by partners and senior lawyers.Role and key responsibilitiesAssisting the litigation department with the management of our files across all Court jurisdictions;Providing support to our lawyers in respect of the filing of High Court and Circuit court documentation;Liaising with the court services in respect of hearing dates and court orders;Preparing booklets of pleadings/motions/court orders and gathering any necessary proofs for upcoming court cases;Liaising with counsel in respect of upcoming cases and preparing briefs;Drafting proceedings and correspondence;Instructing summons servers and tracing agents;Dealing with phone calls from counsel, solicitors and defendants;Attending court hearings and settlement meetings;Liaising with clients in relation to instructions, outcomes and next steps.Skills and experienceWe’re interested in Paralegals who are:Passionate about delivering high-quality legal supportTeam players with strong communication and organisational skillsProactive, adaptable, and eager to learnHave previous Paralegal experience, or customer-facing experience (e.g. retail or hospitality) combined with legal qualificationsWillingness to develop and learn.Adaptable to an evolving environments.Client-focussed.Excellent attention to detail.Proven ability to work in a fast-paced challenging environment with changing priorities.Diversity & InclusionAt Eversheds Sutherland, “Inclusive” is a core business value.
