As a Controls Engineer, you'll play a critical role in transforming our automated operations by designing, programming, and optimizing control systems that keep our manufacturing at peak performance.What you Will do in Your RoleDesign, develop, and implement advanced control systems and software for automated machinery and industrial processes using the Rockwell Automation platform.Program and configure Rockwell PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, and legacy systems) to support high-performance manufacturing operations.Develop and update HMI and SCADA systems using FactoryTalk View and other platforms to enable intuitive machine operation and real-time data visibility.Specify, configure, and troubleshoot industrial control hardware, including sensors, drives, and communication devices.Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and technical documentation using AutoCAD.Provide hands-on support during commissioning, start-up, and system integration, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to production.Quickly diagnose and resolve control system issues, minimizing downtime and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).Collaborate closely with mechanical, design, and production teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.Lead the creation of control system specifications, control narratives, and functional test plans based on operational requirements.Ensure all system designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.Innovate and implement custom automation solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce cycle time.Proactively identify and correct recurring issues, helping to prevent downtime and quality alerts before they occur.Mentor and train other controls and maintenance personnel, contributing to team development and technical knowledge-sharing.Follow all environmental and safety policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to work procedures.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field1-3 years of hands-on experience in controls system design, programming and commissioning, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environmentProven experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S)Experience with industrial communication networks (Ethernet/IP. ControlNet, DeviceNet)Proficient in manufacturing software, Microsoft Office Suite, and CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.)Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and other technical documentsWhat Will Put You AheadExperience with motion control systems and coordinated drive systems.Project management experience, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting.Experience in the automotive, plastic injection molding and assembly process industry.Proven proficiency with Rockwell Automation platforms, including ControlLogix/CompactLogix PLC programming (RSLogix 5000/Studio 5000).About the CompanyWe are a fast-growing B2B company with a strong internal culture that values respect for others, diversity, serving a greater purpose, and passionate creativity.
