You will ensure all repaired and refurbished components meet Barrick’s quality, reliability, and safety standards through structured inspections, vendor audits, and technical reporting.Your Duties Will Include But Are Not Limited ToConduct QA/QC inspections for all repaired and refurbished rotables to ensure compliance with OEM and Barrick standards.Review teardown, NDT, and reassembly reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.Provide technical support to verify and maintain serialization and traceability of components in SAP.Lead vendor quality audits and assessments to verify compliance with reliability and performance requirements.Identify and report non-conformances, warranty risks, and recurring vendor issues.Collaborate with Reliability and Engineering teams to support RCA, FMEA, and RCM processes using inspection data.Develop and maintain engineering inspection reports, document dimensional checks, NDT, and test results.Provide technical feedback to engineering and planning teams on recurring non-conformances and vendor performance.Generate monthly QA/QC engineering summaries highlighting repair compliance, failure analysis, and warranty performance.Review and validate vendor repair procedures and test documentation to ensure technical soundness.Participate in joint site and vendor inspections with the Rotables Superintendent to assess quality and process compliance.Promote Barrick’s Zero Harm culture through safe work practices and QA/QC discipline.To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:Minimum of 10 years’ QA/QC or reliability experience in mining, heavy industry, or OEM repair facilities.A Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent Engineering discipline.Strong working knowledge of Failure Analysis (RCA, FMEA, RCM) and reliability improvement methodologies.Experience performing or leading vendor quality audits and developing QA/QC documentation.Proficiency in welding inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT) processes.Exposure to international quality standards, including ISO 9001 or equivalent.Must be a registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)Added Advantage ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent quality certification. Welding Inspection certifications (CSWIP/AWS) from recognized institutions.
