Just great hair with no filters.Job Summary:As a Copywriter, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the Verb brand voice across all consumer touchpoints. This role will lead copy development for marketing campaigns, product launches, packaging, creative, digital content, retail, and customer experience. You will partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Product Development, Digital, and the Sales teams to translate strategy into compelling messaging. This role requires strategic thinking, creative execution, and a deep understanding of how to craft on-brand narratives that drive engagement and elevate the customer experience.This role requires not only excellent writing skills, but also attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Tasks & Responsibilities:Own the copy development across all consumer and professional touchpoints, including product packaging, brand campaigns, email communications, paid media, in-store visual merchandising, social media platforms and customer service, ensuring consistency, clarity, and alignment with brand voice and business objectives. Marketing & PR:Own and manage the Master Product Development & Marketing Product Info Sheet to ensure accurate, up-to-date messaging across all product SKUsReview and refine press releases, Q&As, and media facing materials to ensure they reflect brand voice and key messagingWrite copy for PR mailers and seeding kits that align with campaign storytelling and product positioningNew Product LaunchesDevelop and finalize all on-pack messaging, including naming conventions, description, application, ingredients, etc., coordinating with internal teams and translation vendors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency.Own and finalize product naming conventions, develop usage instructions and "how-to" copy ensuring consistency with brand voice and positioningWrite clear, consumer-facing benefit and claim statements in collaboration with Product Development, Marketing and Regulatory teamsLead copy approvals across packaging rounds and collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Regulatory teams to ensure messaging accuracy and complianceCoordinate with external translation vendors to manage and review translationsCollaborate with Creative and Marketing leadership to concept campaigns, develop storyboard narratives and write scripts for video content across digital and retail.Craft compelling video scripts for paid ads, how-to videos, and launch content across digital and retail channelsDigital & In-Store PresenceIn collaboration with CRM & SMS Manager, draft and finalize monthly copy for email and SMS campaignsReview and approve social media captions and paid social ad copy in partnership with the Social Media Manager to ensure alignment with digital strategy and brand voice.Write and maintain product detail page (PDP) copy, including headers, descriptions, how-to-use instructions, key ingredients, claims, fragrance notes, and comparative messagingCollaborate with the Sales and Trade Marketing team to write and refine copy for deal sheets, sell-in materials, product education content and retailer asset requestsSupport copy needs for visual merchandising updates, including planograms, endcaps, and in-store features for key retail partnersReview and refine complex customer communications, ensuring clarity, brand consistency, and a positive toneSupport development of FAQs, scripts, and educational content that enhance the customer journey and resolve inquiries effectivelyAdditionally, you will conceptualize core stories for product launches and existing product lines, ensuring that all messaging is cohesive and impactfulQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in English, communications or a related field4-5 years of copywriting experience, preferably in beauty on the brand or agency sideExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and justify copy choices in a clear and compelling mannerSkilled at translating technical product details into clear, accessible messaging that resonates with a broad consumer audience A deep understanding of the Verb brand, as you will need to craft effective copy that resonates with the brand's identityAn energetic team-oriented individual with strong project management, communication and creative skillsA strong sense of urgency and agility, with ability to manage details while proactively responding to changing priorities and feedbackProven experience working under pressure to deliver high-quality output within tight deadlines.Must be organized, detail oriented, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple projects at onceComfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast moving/changing hybrid work environmentAbility to build, foster, and nurture strong relationships and gain the trust and respect of cross-functional teams/stakeholdersSelf-starter, results-oriented, with a can-do attitude and love for beauty Conceptual thinker with diverse writing capabilities.Detail-oriented with the ability to proofread and review copy with a high level of detail.Strong time management and prioritization skillsFamiliarity with French a plus (not required)Benefits:Your birthday is off every year!Gym membership reimbursementParticipation in team building activitiesOpportunities for continuous educationCompany-paid options for healthcare, as well as dental
