Through the expertise of our people and investment in technology we promote and deliver sustainable waste management solutions.The Role:As a Corporate Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving profitable growth within our Industrial and Commercial division. You'll be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new high-value business opportunities, managing a strong sales pipeline, and achieving both quarterly and annual targets.Your success will come from building meaningful client relationships, developing tailored solutions that showcase The Biffa Model, and delivering exceptional value through innovative waste management strategies.Key Responsibilities:Identify, develop, and manage new business tendering opportunities to secure sustainable growthPromote The Biffa Model, effectively matching our services to clients' needs through tailored proposals and solutionsLead the full sales process — from lead generation, presentations, and proposals to negotiation, contract close, and smooth handover to account management teamsRespond to tenders and RFI/RFPs promptly and professionally, collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete handoversMaintain and manage a robust sales pipeline valued between £15-20 million, with individual contract opportunities averaging around £1.5 millionWhat We're Looking For:A proven track record of success in field-based business development (minimum 3 years)Experience selling contracted services valued at £1 million + per annumStrong commercial acumen and understanding of tendering processesSelf-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at all business levelsKnowledge of the waste management industry or relevant legislation is advantageous, but not essentialBiffa - we're changing the way people think about wasteAt Biffa, we love working with waste.
