Cost Accountant – Manufacturing GroupHireForce is working with a leading multinational manufacturing organisation, with a reputation for innovation and continuous improvement, the company fosters a collaborative culture where employees are encouraged to grow, contribute, and make a meaningful impact.The Opportunity:This is an exciting opportunity for a Cost Accountant to take on a key role within a dynamic finance team. You will play an integral part in analysing product costs, supporting profitability initiatives, and enhancing cost visibility across the business. This role will suit someone who enjoys combining strong analytical capability with hands-on business partnering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.You’ll work closely with operational, supply chain, and finance stakeholders to deliver insights that drive performance, efficiency, and strategic decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Analyse product costs, material usage, labour efficiency, and overhead absorption to provide accurate cost data to the business.Prepare monthly cost reports, margin analysis, and variance commentary for local and group reporting.Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to support cost improvement initiatives, waste reduction, and efficiency projects.Maintain and update standard costs, bills of materials, routings, and manufacturing cost setups within the ERP system.Lead month-end processes related to cost accounting, including inventory valuation, overhead allocations, and cost roll-ups.Support annual budgeting and forecasting, providing cost insights and scenario analysis.Oversee inventory controls, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation activities.Identify opportunities to improve cost visibility, enhance reporting, and streamline financial processes.Contribute to continuous improvement across manufacturing and finance operations.The Candidate:Qualified Accountant with 2+ years’ PQE.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, consolidations, and accounting standards.Confident user of Excel and ERP systems.Excellent communication, analytical, and organisational skills.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.A proactive problem-solver who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Remuneration:A strong base salary, bonus, pension, and healthcare will be offered to the successful candidate.If this role is of interest to you, please feel free to reach out to me at Dean.Kennedy@hireforce.ie.
