The Global Marketing Engines & Experiences (GME&E) team is seeking a Creative Art Lead, Social to drive connected storytelling and visuals across Microsoft’s commercial marketing efforts. This role brings the Microsoft brand to life through campaigns, activations, and creative assets that drive both emotional connection and business impact. As a senior member of our integrated creative team, you will concept across social, digital, and emerging platforms — partnering closely with marketing, brand, product, and social leads to deliver resonate, audience-first assets that support the full customer journey. In addition, you will ensure that design quality, strategic relevance, and platform fluency are always front and center. Job Location: The primary location for this position is Redmond, WA. Additionally, there are three other locations where this role may be based. Deliver quick-turn assets across formats (video, animation, stills).  Craft compelling design systems, motion assets, photography, and content that support storytelling across the funnel.  Ensure visual consistency and creative excellence for all deliverables.  Present and pitch ideas to internal stakeholders and leadership with clarity.  Stay updated on trends, internet culture, and audience behaviors to inform and inspire work.  Partner with copywriters, strategists, and marketing teams to meet campaign objectives and audience needs.  Exhibit design innovation, including the application of AI tools and workflows to scale quality creative production.  Manage multiple projects and timelines while maintaining a high standard of craft and leadership.  Collaborate across creative and production partners (internal and external) to ensure world-class execution.   Embody our Culture and Values   QualificationsRequired/minimum qualificationsBachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 4+ years experience in art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment. OR equivalent experience.Creative portfolio and design samples are required. Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Art Direction, Marketing, Communications, or related field AND 4+ years experience in art direction, visual storytelling, or integrated campaign development OR equivalent experience4+ year of experience in social-first content creation, including video, animation, and real-time visuals.4+ years of experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and motion/3D tools. 4+ years of experience in design or art direction roles in B2B (business-to-business), technology, enterprise environments, or related environments. 4+ years of experience and portfolio showcasing campaign work, platform-specific design, and brand systems, or related experience.  Additional Or Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field AND 12+ years experience in art design or a related art field working on computer games or entertainment OR equivalent experience.6+ years experience using related software and packages (e.g., Maya, 3DS Max, Photoshop/Adobe suite, Mental Ray, Substance Designer/Painter/Zbrush, SideFX Houdini, After Effects, Unity, Softimage).2+ years of experience in social creative, content marketing, or visual storytelling OR equivalent experience. Experience and understanding of commercial audiences and B2B (business-to-business) social storytelling.Art IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
