Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision and Management of Import/Export Processes: Ensure all goods are imported and exported in accordance with international and European customs laws and procedures.Customs Compliance: Ensure the company adheres to all applicable customs regulations, including correct classification of goods, accurate declaration of customs value, and handling of related tax issues.Documentation and Record Keeping: Responsible for managing all documentation and records related to import/export activities, including invoices, packing lists, transport documents, and customs declarations.Risk Management: Assess and address potential risks in the import/export process, including customs risks and supply chain disruptions.Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers, logistics companies, customs agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth transportation and delivery of goods.Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance on customs regulations to team members to ensure understanding and correct implementation of laws.Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and optimize import/export processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.Job RequirementsEducational Background: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in international trade, logistics, or a related field.Experience Requirements: Several years of relevant experience, particularly in customs management.Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient in European and international trade regulations, customs systems, and import/export procedures.Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of working under pressure and dealing with complex issues.Language Skills: Fluent in English, additional European languages are a plus.
