Data EngineerWhitehall Resources are currently looking for a Data Engineer based onsite in Sweden for an initial 5 month contract.Role description:Our client are looking for a Data Engineer with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience in DBT, Databricks, and great understanding of data Lakehouse architectures to deliver in one of the data teams “Network Operations” or “Asset Management”. Main Responsibilities:Contribute in the design phase of data products.Develop, and optimize data pipelines for data products using dbt and Databricks (and potentially streaming data in Kafka).Work closely with AI/ML engineers, data scientists, analysts, other data teams and/or application teams to deliver high-quality, reliable data products.Implement data governance, testing, and CI/CD best practices to ensure data integrity and operational excellence.Key Skills:You have 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.Proficient in SQL, Python, and modern data transformation frameworks such as dbt.Experienced in Git and preferably Gitlab.Experienced in Databricks (Spark, Unity Catalog).Understanding of Data Lake and Data Lakehouse concepts (Parquet, Iceberg, Delta Lake).Strong communicator who enjoys collaborating across disciplines to deliver data products that drive business value.Experienced in Kafka is a great merit
