Job SummaryThis is a Database Administrator (DBA) position with requirements to ensure the BAU databases are in good health. The DBA will also be involved in project setup and advise customers/users on resource requirements. The job will require working at odd hours and/or public holidays when required. This role reports to the DBA Lead. The other key responsibilities are as detailed below:Key Responsibilities:FunctionalPerform health check on the databases and ensure databases are in good health status.Perform health check on the database Replication and ensure databases at DR site are synchronizedPerform health check on the database Backup and ensure databases backup is in placePerform health check on the DB space usage and ensure databases have enough space to growthTo attend DB security patching on the scheduled downtimeTo attend data patching / program patching on the scheduled downtimeProvide 24*7 support (on rotation basis, including public holiday or when required)Handling of incident on databasesEnsure no outstanding ticket assigned to DBA teamInvolved in the Disaster Recovery (DR) TestTo perform DB backup and restore when requiredSetup, configure and maintain new databases for user testing or new projectsTo attend audit finding on databasesProvide health check report and status update as requiredManagerial (team/group responsibilities)Provide technical advice and guidance to junior DBAs and/or new joinersTo manage and deliver tasks assignedOrganizational (organizational responsibilities)To meet business and provide solutions in regards to database servicesTo lead/participate in meetings with internal/external users for BAU or project related activitiesTo work at odd hours or long hours or public holiday as required & assignedJobholder Requirements:Malaysian citizenMinimum of 2 years of production database management experience in any 2 of the following databases (MSSQL, ORACLE, DB2, MYSQL, MongoDB)Experience in the following area(s) will be a plus point:work experience within the Financial Industry;database migration between versions, platforms and different database types;troubleshooting and tuning databases.What’s next?Once you’ve applied online, our team will carefully review your application.
