Database Developer / Administrator

Responsibilities: Designing database schemas, tables, and other objects to meet organizational needs. Installing, configuring, and upgrading database management systems (DBMS). Continuously monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing optimizations for speed and efficiency. Implementing security measures, managing user access, and enforcing data integrity policies. Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues. Creating and responding to alerts. Applying patches, performing routine checks, and managing data updates. Strong understanding of SQL Server and MySQL Configurations Implement Backup and restore planning w.r.t. RPO and RTO Skills: Proficiency with specific database systems (e.g., MySQL and SQL Server) Strong proficiency in SQL query writing, optimization and database management. Strong understanding of Optimization Techniques like Table partitioning, Indexed Views and Filtered Indexes Knowledge of Full text indexing and searching Knowledge of SSIS Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Experience in working in cloud environments like Azure, AWS and GCP The ability to handle complex and big data tables with a high degree of accuracy. Strong understanding of Isolation levels, Locks and Deadlocks Strong knowledge of Extended Events and Profiler Ability to design and develop reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). Ability to analyse and interpret DMVs to generate meaningful insights of RDBMS. The ability to explain complex technical information to both technical and non-technical team members. The capacity to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and support requests. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Data Certification is a huge plus
