Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand feature requirements and test coverage needs. Design, write, and maintain detailed, reusable test cases and test plans based on functional specifications and user stories. Perform different types of testing including regression, smoke, functional, exploratory, and integration testing. Log clear and concise defects in the bug tracking system, and track them to resolution. Analyze test results, identify patterns or recurring issues, and suggest improvements to development and QA processes. Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups, contributing to the overall Agile workflow. Ensure a minimum of 4 hours of overlap with Pacific Time for team collaboration and coordination. RequirementsA Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. 2-4 years of experience in software testing with a focus on manual QA for web and/or mobile applications. A solid understanding of QA methodologies, test case design, defect life cycle, and software development life cycle (SDLC). Familiarity with Agile development practices and testing in Scrum environments. Experience using test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr. Basic knowledge of REST APIs and tools like Postman or Swagger for manual API validation. Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills. Clear communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams. Bonus if you have: Exposure to automation testing concepts and a willingness to learn test automation frameworks in the future. Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation. Experience testing in CI/CD environments or with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).  Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
