Within this team, Deal Operations focuses on PMPs/deals, keeping our global deal ecosystem (Prebid, GAM, Yahoo Backstage) running smoothly. Put simply, we create, execute, merchandise, and manage deals to maximize and protect revenue. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with deep expertise in the programmatic ecosystem, including header bidding, demand channels (DSPs, DMPs, SSPs), media campaign optimization, and cross-functional collaboration with sales and account teams to build trusted relationships.Responsibilities:Execute and troubleshoot deals, including managing the Deal Ops JIRA queue to meet SLAs and customer expectations.Understand Yahoo’s programmatic transaction framework to effectively manage deal workflows.Partner with cross-functional teams (Yield, Partner Management, Sales, Product, Engineering) to ensure deal workflows are considered in new pilots, products, and processes.Analyze and optimize high-revenue deals, detect anomalies, and manage escalations in partnership with Sales and internal partners.Work with large data sets to uncover insights, build reports/dashboards, and clearly present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.Improve and automate internal processes to reduce manual work and future-proof against errors.Define and promote best practices for deal execution, ensuring compliance with policy, pricing, partner fees, and privacy requirements.Collaborate with Product Management to prioritize deal feature requests and influence roadmap development.Drive innovation and new approaches to deal management across platforms (Prebid, GAM, Yahoo Backstage).Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (or equivalent relevant experience).5+ years in operations, analytics, or project management within an advertising or media company.Strong analytical skills; ability to interpret data and extract insights using Excel, Tableau, or other BI tools.Proven experience working in a matrixed organization and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.Creative problem solver with adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.Exceptional communication and presentation skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in digital/programmatic advertising.Background partnering with media sales and account management teams.Familiarity with programmatic media tools.
