Role: Deputy Manager, Capacity Management (Shipping Carrier)The Client: Our Client is a Global Shipping Carrier providing extensive logistics services, container manufacturing, and supply chain solutions, emphasizing sustainability and innovation in connecting global markets.Job Scope:As a Deputy Manager, Capacity, the individual should have the knowledge to lead the space management function and ensure the efficient utilization of cargo space across a diverse fleet and partner network, directly impacting operational efficiency and cost control for the Singapore hub.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the daily inbound and outbound operational resource planning to ensure efficient and timely cargo flow.Manage daily space allocation, coordinate negotiations with external partners, and handle last-minute adjustments to maximize vessel utilization and minimize waste.Work closely with internal commercial and local operations teams, as well as external partners, to manage capacity forecasts, monitor vessel loading, and resolve any space shortfalls.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in capacity planning and management practices, aligning with organizational goals for productivity and cost efficiency.Mentor, coach, and guide team members, ensuring effective knowledge transfer, strong performance delivery, and robust performance reporting structures are in place.A successful candidate:Diploma or equivalent qualification in Maritime, Supply Chain or Logistics, or any related discipline is a plus.More than 5 years of hands-on working experience in a shipping carrier with a focus on capacity or space planning is advantageous.*Only individuals from a Maritime/Container shipping background will be considered as the role requires managing container vessels and trade routes.Morgan McKinley Pte LtdSenjoo KhongEA Licence No: 11C5502EA Registration No.: R23116117
