KIE covers secondary market broking and markets Indian equity offerings, including IPOs, to domestic and foreign institutional investors (FIIs).DesignationDy Manager/Manager - Compliance, Surveillance and ControlDepartmentSurveillance as part of Legal and Compliance team.LocationMumbai, 27 BKCKey ResponsibilitiesKIE is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team in Mumbai, with expertise in surveillance, internal control functions and Compliance. Key responsibilities include Compliance, Surveillance, Internal Control and Internal Audits. Incumbent would be required to support business objectives and strategies to provide control coverage for the KIE Unit. The role requires close coordination with the business and associated support functions. Some of the important aspects of KRA are as below: Review of alerts ( Internal, exchange) - Surveillance and AML Alerts and ensuring timely closure in system and records. Advising on KYC and AML/CFT Compliance requirements of Institutional clients including FPIs. Develop new audit programs to ensure adequate Internal controls. Handling Internal audit function. Data analysis of suspicious cases. Ongoing surveillance. Co-ordination with stakeholders for surveillance / PMLA related matters. Preparing of periodic MIS for management / board and team management. Coordinating with IT team and development of new alerts. Analysis and review of Post facto exchange alerts provided by BSE and NSE. Resolving queries raised by Exchange/Regulators with respect to alerts / and other surveillance matters. Monitoring Client trading Activities through surveillance application. Understanding of customer profile to evaluate the risk involved in the alerted transaction. Test the operation and tweak the design of existing operations and controls. Maintain and cultivate a master inventory of businesses policies, practices and processes. Create and update internal audit plan. ( pre-emptive steps) Managing CTCL and NEET Ids of KIE and keeping track of certification. Assisting Compliance functions and keeping updated the Management and back office on latest regulatory circulars and guidelines.Advising on KYC and AML/CFT requirements for Institutional clients.Skills and RequirementsStrong product and local market knowledge of financial markets with a focus on particularly FPI and Broking activities. Strong control focused review skills combined with knowledge of regulatory concepts and their practical application in operational processes and products. Take ownership for own career management, seeking opportunities for continuous development of personal capability and improved performance contribution. Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills combined with the ability to articulate these skills at a senior level. Experience in Control, Surveillance, AML/CFT matters and KYC norms will be an advantage.Core Competencies Required4-5 years of regulatory and risk or Control experience with a financial institution or professional firm (preferably a Broker or Bank or NBFC).Eligibility Financial/Regulatory/Legal qualifications .
