Job Summary: Consultant for Revenue Accounting with strong domain expertise in life insurance accounting practices. The role involves managing revenue recognition, controls, reconciliations, and reporting processes, while ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines (IRDAI) and accounting standards. The consultant will support ongoing operations, audits, and financial reporting requirements. Key Responsibility: •Ensure accurate and timely recognition of revenue across various lines of business (individual, group, bancassurance, etc.). •Perform reconciliation between policy administration systems (e.g., Ingenium, Life Asia) and the general ledger (Oracle). •Implement and review revenue controls to identify and prevent revenue leakage. •Evaluate revenue impact of policy servicing transactions such as lapses, revivals, surrenders, and top-ups. •Prepare revenue reports, dashboards, and schedules for monthly closing, MIS, and financial audits. •Support preparation of IRDAI regulatory submissions and financial statements. •Liaise with cross-functional teams (Actuarial, IT, Operations, Product) to ensure accurate revenue flow and accounting treatment. •Assist with UATs and implementation of system changes affecting revenue accounting. •Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities to strengthen revenue governance.
