Investment banking client is seeking a Vice President of Settlements to lead the Settlements team within their Derivative Operations group. This role will be responsible for overseeing the daily settlement functions supporting the global derivatives trading activity. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of derivatives and FX settlement processes, strong leadership capabilities, and a continuous improvement mindset. ResponsibilitiesLead a high-performing Settlements team to ensure timely and accurate settlement of derivative and foreign exchange (FX) cashflows.Oversee pre-settlement payment affirmations, post-settlement investigations, and compensation claim processing.Drive a strong risk mitigation framework, proactively identifying and escalating breaks and exposure risks.Utilize and oversee a variety of industry-standard platforms (e.g., SWIFT) and internal proprietary systems.Identify, recommend, and implement operational improvements to enhance scalability, accuracy, and efficiency.Participate in technology initiatives and system enhancements, including UAT and project testing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related discipline required.2+ years of experience in financial services, with a minimum of 3 years in Derivatives or FX Settlements leadership roles.Strong understanding of derivatives (OTC and listed) and foreign exchange instruments.Base Salary - $90,000-$115,000 depending on experience
