Design Engineer

The Design Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise, design support, and engineering solutions across multiple market segments. The role involves collaborating with senior management and technical teams to develop, enhance, and deliver high-quality façade system designs. This position also supports clients, fabricators, and internal stakeholders throughout design, tender, and project execution stages.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with senior management to address internal and external technical support needs.Contribute to the development, customization, and improvement of HBSME façade systems.Assist Technical Engineers in preparing design solutions, drawings, and technical documentation.Prepare and submit technical documents and design packages in line with project specifications.Create 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD; familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or Rhino is an advantage.Coordinate with the design team to obtain project-specific CAD details.Support fabricators by providing shop drawings, design clarifications, and responses to technical queries.Review and interpret project specifications, tender documents, and BOQs for system suitability.Prepare technical computations, design notes, and façade system analysis reports.Develop custom design solutions for complex or specialized façade projects.Support the preparation of technical proposals and presentations for clients and consultants.Conduct material analysis using HBSME tools to generate fabrication sheets and bills of materials.Coordinate with the Logistics and Procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.Maintain strict confidentiality of project, client, and pricing-related information.Perform other related duties as assigned by management.Qualifications and RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.3–5 years of experience in façade design, aluminum systems, or related industries.Strong technical background in façade systems, including windows, doors, sliders, unitized, and stick systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk Inventor or Rhino is advantageous.Knowledge of material take-offs, BOQ analysis, and fabrication processes.Understanding of structural and thermal performance is a plus.Candidates currently based in the UAE will be given preference.Key CompetenciesExcellent communication and presentation skills.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.High attention to detail, accuracy, and design quality.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.Collaborative mindset with a commitment to innovation and continuous improvement.Professional integrity and adherence to confidentiality standards.
