About The RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our established, high-performing team on the Sunshine Coast, based at Maroochydore. This is an excellent opportunity to step into a senior role within a collaborative and dynamic environment, contributing directly to the success of major projects.As a Design Manager, you will play a key role in leading the design process from inception through to project completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and stakeholders ensuring high-quality outcomes while meeting timeframes and project goals.Your Responsibilities Will IncludeDeveloping and managing design programs to ensure timely contributions from all stakeholders.Coordinating and driving consultant teams to deliver comprehensive and accurate design documentation.Applying curiosity and critical thinking to challenge design assumptions and propose efficient, innovative solutions.Recommending and integrating cost-effective construction strategies into the design process.Ensuring design outputs meet all compliance, regulatory, and contractual requirements.Building and maintaining strong, respectful client relationships to influence positive project outcomes.About YouYou are a passionate design professional with a sharp commercial mindset and drive to make a lasting impact. Your expertise and leadership will not only shape individual projects but also contribute to the continued evolution and success of our business.We’re Looking For Someone Who BringsTertiary qualifications in Design, Construction, or a related discipline, supported by significant experience in a Design Management role.A strong commercial focus, with the ability to uncover cost efficiencies and practical design solutions.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.Proven ability to identify and proactively manage design and project risks.A collaborative approach and the capability to build and maintain strong, trusted relationships across clients, consultants, and internal teams.About McNabMcNab is one of the largest Construction, Development and Property groups in Australia, with turnover now exceeding $1bn each year.
