Desktop Engineer (Onsite – North Phoenix, AZ)Initial 6–9-Month Contract-to-Hire$40–$46/hr W2 Start: Within 1–3 WeeksNo benefits while on contract - full package after conversion. We’re seeking 3 Desktop Engineers to join a national healthcare services organization on a long-term project with the potential to convert to full-time employment. This role is onsite in North Phoenix and plays a key part in maintaining and improving desktop infrastructure across a secure, regulated environment.What You’ll DoDesign, implement, and maintain desktop infrastructure projects.Define and enforce desktop standards, policies, and procedures.Provide Tier II/III support for escalated desktop issues.Manage desktop imaging and deployment using SCCM and Intune.Support end-user devices, including desktops, laptops, printers, AV, and telephony.Administer internal and third-party applications (ticketing, VDI, secure file transfer, etc.).Collaborate with vendors for maintenance, upgrades, and lifecycle management.Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., NIST, CIS) and participate in change management efforts.What You Bring3+ years of experience in desktop engineering or similar roles.Strong background with Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, and security patching.Hands-on experience with SCCM, Intune, and Active Directory/GPOs.Familiarity with MDM and virtual desktop (DaaS/VDI) environments.Knowledge of security, licensing, and compliance frameworks.Additional DetailsSchedule: Standard business hours (Mon–Fri) with on-call rotation.Start Date: Within 1–3 weeks (urgent need).Screening: Criminal background and drug test required prior to start.Benefits: Provided upon full-time conversion.If you’re ready for a hands-on technical role in a secure and fast-paced environment and want the opportunity to convert to a full-time position — we’d love to hear from you!
