As the Director, Global Engagement you will lead international education projects and intergovernmental agreements.About The Department Of EducationDE International contributes to the department's vision by providing strategic leadership for the implementation of the Government's international education and training policy, strategy and marketing activities. Its purpose is to deliver social, cultural and economic benefits to Queensland through the provision of quality international education and training products and services to domestic and international clients.Global Engagement works closely with Queensland schools in providing opportunities including:Local and global opportunities for students and educatorsBuilding professional expertise focused on equity and excellence in global learning and engagementEnhancing the reputation of Queensland education internationallyManaging and building upon national and international partnerships, including with industry & community stakeholdersAbout The RoleThe Director, Global Engagement will have responsibility for the following:Lead intergovernmental projects including government to government Memorandums of Understanding, sister school arrangements and student and teacher exchange programs.Prepare documents, reports and correspondence on behalf of the Minister, Director-General and Executive Director, including cabinet submissions, briefing notes, reports and economic evaluations ensuring compliance with the department's corporate governance and reporting requirements.Develop and maintain strong productive partnerships and networks within the department and across the broader public sector to identify issues, facilitate and contribute to positive outcomes for stakeholders and ensure DE International goals are met.Operate as part of the DE International Senior leadership team, providing effective and efficient management and administration of DE International's business operations. Represent DE International as required by the Executive Director, DE International.School Education Background And Experience Is Preferred.Interested?
