We are partnering with a prestigious real estate developer in Dubai to recruit a dynamic and experienced Head of Commercial & Procurement. This is a strategic leadership role, reporting directly to the CEO, with responsibility for shaping and driving the commercial and procurement functions across the organisation. Our client have been a longstanding powerhouse in the real estate development field and one that has played its part in developing an incredible UAE skyline. That is like many developers in the UAE, but what this firm offers that other development firms doesn’t is genuine stability, career progression and an environment that looks after its staff well being.WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?The successful candidate will lead initiatives that optimise procurement processes, strengthen supplier relationships, and enhance commercial strategies to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.In this critical role you will report directly to the CEO and board whilst managing a team of around 15 only 4 will be direct reports.Key Responsibilities (in short):Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute commercial and procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.Procurement Excellence: Implement cost-effective sourcing policies for contractors, consultants, goods, and services while ensuring compliance and quality.Commercial Oversight: Drive pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and vendor/client relationship management to maximize revenue.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, market volatility, and contractual disputes.Performance Management: Establish KPIs to measure efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement.Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and accountability.WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL?Education:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.MBA or advanced degree is an advantage.Professional certifications such as CIARB or MRICS preferred.Experience:Minimum 15 years in commercial and supply chain management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role within property development.Proven success in implementing strategies that deliver cost savings and business growth.MUST be strong within the pre contract stage.MUST HAVE WORKED FOR A REAL ESTATE DEVELOPER - NON NEGOTIABLETechnical Skills:Expert in strategic planning, cost analysis, and procurement optimization.Strong knowledge of commercial laws, regulations, and industry standards.Advanced negotiation and decision-making skills.Personality/Soft SkillsEthical leadership with a commitment to transparency and compliance.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.WHY JOIN?This is an opportunity to join a market-leading developer with a strong reputation for innovation and excellence but mainly the way they treat their staff.
