We have JUST the opportunity for you!The Director of Learning and Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing learning programs aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and professional development of our dental professionals and support staff. This role will focus on all development from onboarding through ongoing development including both certified and non-certified continuous education. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess training needs, create engaging learning materials, and establish strategies to build functional capability and confidence across the Company. This leader is a strong performance consultant and coach, who will embed continuous improvement in our clinical treatment, field operations, corporate support, and leadership teams.ResponsibilitiesDesign an overall learning framework and deliver a suite of highly effective programs and resources to ensure team members have the knowledge and tools to successfully perform their job functions. Implement solutions that include formal learning programs, experiential learning assignments, coaching and should have close alignment to the business and help to elevate organizational performance.Identify training needs by analyzing performance gaps and collaborating with functional and executive leadership along with other stakeholders to create targeted development programs.Manage the learning platform and design/deliver engaging and effective blended learning solutions to support new hire assimilation through continued growth and development for experienced team members.Embed a continuous learning mindset and framework to enable professional growth to support sustained retention of all team members.Develop and build out content and delivery of a management development framework to support new and experienced leaders.Use data to measure success - implement methods to assess training effectiveness and performance outcomes and regularly evaluate the impact of training programs.Collaborate with external vendors, agencies, industry experts and educational institutions to leverage resources and stay updated on dental industry trends/advancements.Ensure appropriate accreditation for continuous programs (CERP) and that compliance programs meet regulatory standards.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development, promoting a positive and supportive culture.Other duties as assignedQualificationsEducation/Experience:Education Level: bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required; master’s degree preferred.A minimum of 8+ years of relevant learning experience in a fast-paced organization with a distributed workforce.A minimum of 3+ years leading a team of L&D professionals.Proven experience and expertise with LMS platform and learning technologies, virtual classroom systems.Advanced understanding of adult learning theory and principles.Demonstrated ability to translate development needs into technical requirements and test against those requirements.Strong ability to create process, organizational systems and operating procedures.Exceptional project and change management skills and proven experience planning large-scale programs for clinical and non-clinical audiences.Well versed in digital learning, just-in-time / micro-learning, and blended learning strategies and advanced understanding of design and delivery methods.Advanced problem solving, decision-making, and critical thinking skills.Excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels in the organization and extremely flexibility to be proactive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.Proven experience managing technology vendors.Ability to travel as neededPhysical Requirements: The nature of work requires the ability to:Operate a computer, keyboard, and standard office equipment.We value teamwork, mutual respect, and cooperation.
