OverviewWe are seeking an exceptional Director of Sales & Business Development to lead our dynamic, fast-growing and high-end catering / special events company. This role is ideal for a strategic, and relationship-driven leader with a deep understanding of the off-site catering and luxury events market. The ideal candidate thrives on creating extraordinary guest experiences, driving revenue growth, and leading a team to excellence in execution and client satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesSales Leadership & StrategyDevelop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to grow off-site catering, corporate events, weddings, and private celebrations.Lead, inspire, and mentor the sales and event planning team to consistently exceed revenue and client satisfaction goals.Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to expand the company’s footprint in the luxury event space.Build and maintain strong relationships with high-profile clients, venues, event planners, and corporate partners.Business DevelopmentProactively cultivate new business through networking, lead generation, and relationship management.Oversee the creation and presentation of customized proposals, ensuring alignment with client vision and brand standards.Operational CollaborationPartner closely with culinary, operations, and logistics teams to ensure flawless execution of events.Understand operational workflows and constraints, using this insight to enhance efficiency and profitability.Financial & AnalyticalDevelop annual sales forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics to measure success.Track sales performance, analyze trends, and adjust strategies to meet financial objectives.Negotiate and close complex contracts while maintaining profitability and client trust.QualificationsMinimum of 7+ years of progressive sales and business development experience within high-end catering, luxury hospitality, or event production.Proven record of achieving sales growth in off-site catering or special event environments.Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.Deep understanding of event operations, client service, and logistics.Strategic thinker and creative problem-solver with an entrepreneurial mindset.Proficient in CRM systems, event management software, and financial reporting tools.
