The Client Brightly Early Learning is a reputable childcare centre who provides impactful guidance for young children through their early childhood development stages. It was established with a vision to provide high quality and professional care to children and families in Box Hill within Sydney. Their programs are challenging, engaging and nurturing and they understand that each child is a unique individual with independent learning needs.The RoleThe role for hire is an Early Childhood Teacher based in Box Hill, NSW, it is a full-time role with an annual salary between $78,000 to $85,000 depending on experience plus superannuation.The ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of childrenLead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, taking children to local points of interest and providing opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activityPlan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of childrenAssess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff membersObserve children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisorGuide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habitsEstablish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with childrenMay plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hoursMay supervise and co-ordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.Early childhood educator assistants perform some or all of the following duties:Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of childrenEngage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing craftsPrepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periodsAssist with proper eating, dressing and toilet habitsSubmit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisorsMaintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking dutiesThe RequirementsDiploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)First Aid Qualifications and Training as prescribed by the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis, General First Aid)At least 3 years of professional experience in early childhood teaching in AustraliaAt least 3 years' experience teaching in early childhood education settings, delivering programs aligned with EYLF and NQS.At least 3 years' experience in curriculum development, child assessment, and educational programming.At least 3 years' experience mentoring and supervising educators in early childhood pedagogy and best practices.At least 3 years' experience supporting children with diverse learning needs and implementing inclusive teaching strategies.At least 3 years' experience liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children's learning outcomes.Thorough knowledge of the National Quality FrameworkA current knowledge of relevant curriculum frameworks and the ability to implement a program that caters to diversity amongst the children, educators, families and communityA working knowledge and thorough understanding of the national quality standards, the education and care services national law act 2010 and the education and care services national regulations 2011Well-developed communication and inter-personal skills with children, adults, fellow educators and the communityAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment, being sensitive to the strength and weaknesses of fellow team members
