2 x Full-time fixed term positions12months, commencing in January 2026Kindergarten Programmes, Essendon campusThe SchoolPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School has over 3000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12 and over 400 staff across campuses in Moonee Ponds, Essendon, Keilor East, sports grounds at Keilor Park and an Outdoor Education camp at Eildon. We have a rigourous academic program and extensive co-curricular program to support student learning, care and wellbeing.Our co-educational Kindergarten programme is all about engagement, creativity and delight. Our Kindergarten cottages provide a full day programme for four to five-year-old girls and boys. Each dedicated space is staffed by highly experienced and qualified early childhood teachers and educators in bright, friendly and safe surroundings.Our curriculum caters for the important cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of each child, and has been designed to encourage creativity, questioning, problem solving, social skills and self-confidence.The RolesPenleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking experienced, enthusiastic and caring Educators to support our four-year-old co-educational Kindergarten programme.There are two full time fixed term replacement opportunities to join the Kindergarten programme, commencing on 27 January 2026 for 12months, Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 4pm.Duties May IncludeAssisting in the running of sessions as directed, helping to ensure the needs of all children are catered for, and assisting all children in reaching their potential. Monitoring children’s well-being in a vigilant and responsible manner and reporting any matters of concerns in accordance with school procedures.Assisting with the preparation, set up and cleaning up of experiences, ensuring the room is well presented at all times.Supporting children with additional learning needs, as required. Supporting a positive environment in the kindergarten that is respectful of all present and fosters a love of learning.You will be suitably experienced and qualified (eg. Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services), have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a small team. Experience in inquire based learning will be of benefit.
