EHS Specialist (Zona Franca Rionegro, Antioquia)Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Environmental Health & Safety Manager, the EHS Specialist is responsible for supporting and implementing workplace safety programs, conducting safety inspections, maintaining compliance documentation, and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.Job StatusRotating shiftsSalaryReports to: Environmental Health & Safety SupervisorRole ResponsibilitiesSafety Program ImplementationAssist in implementing and maintaining safety programsConduct regular safety inspections and auditsSupport incident investigations and root cause analysisMonitor compliance with company policies and regulationsMaintain safety records and documentationTraining and DevelopmentConduct safety training sessionsProvide First Aid, CPR, and AED trainingSupport new employee safety orientationsDevelop and update safety training materialsCompliance and DocumentationHelp maintain OSHA 300 logs and related documentationReview and update Safety Data Sheets (SDS)Support safety documentation for new campaignsAssist in writing and updating standard operating proceduresParticipate in process hazard analysesProgram Support and CommunicationParticipate in safety committee meetingsContribute to weekly safety meetingsAssist in workers' compensation claim managementSupport safety budget planning and monitoringInterface with all levels of management and staffEducation And CertificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Industrial Safety, or related field preferredAssociate's degree with relevant experience consideredProfessional safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, CSP) preferredExperience / Skills / Abilities2+ years of EHS experience in manufacturingProficiency in safety management systemsStrong knowledge of OSHA regulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to wear required PPE including respiratorsValid driver's licenseProficient computer skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesTechnical CompetenciesSafety program managementIncident investigationRisk assessmentEmergency responseTraining facilitationDocumentation managementPhysical RequirementsJob Expectations / Working Conditions:Standing for extended periodsLifting up to 50 lbs unassistedClimbing stairsBending, twisting, stooping, kneelingWorking at heightsPush/pull movementsWork EnvironmentManufacturing facility settingIndoor and outdoor workExposure to various temperaturesRegular use of PPEIndustrial environment
