M/E Engineering is currently interviewing students pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree for an Electrical Co-op/CAD Operator position in our Rochester, NY office. This position is for a double block starting in January 2026. We are a full-service MEP engineering firm providing design and technology services to our clients. M/E Engineering, P.C. is committed to leveraging the talent of a diverse workforce to create great opportunities for our business and our peopleResponsibilitiesPerforms assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques, and procedures in carrying out computer aided design (CAD) tasksWorks under direct supervision of CAD Operator, Designer or EngineerSupervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine workReceives close supervision on new aspects of assignmentsReceives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features and solutionsPerforms conventional designs, investigations, and surveys for which there are standard proceduresPrepares sketches and other activities of standard procedures and limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employedApplies standard practices and techniques, adjusts and correlates data, recognizes discrepancies and follows design through a series of related stepsPrepares drawings, locate outlets and devices following detailed layouts, routine drawingsPrepares drawings from architectural plansCopies detailsInputs mechanical and/or electrical work from freehand sketchesFiles blueprints, catalogs, etcPerforms all other related duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceA minimum of High School or Technical School TrainingCompensationThe compensation for this position is $20.00 per hourM/E Engineering provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.Powered by JazzHR1EeMiGacHt
