Job SummaryThe Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of the electrical, control, and instrumentation systems, with a primary focus on maximizing plant uptime and operational efficiency. This is a shift-based role requiring rapid problem-solving skills in a continuous production environment.Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesSystem Operation & Monitoring: Monitor and ensure the reliable operation of key electrical and control infrastructure, including MCCs (Motor Control Centers), PMCCs, PCCs, HT panels, and Synchronization systems. Troubleshooting & Repair: Quickly and effectively diagnose and rectify electrical and control system faults that could disrupt production, adhering to a shift-based work schedule. Specialized Equipment Management: Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on complex equipment, including VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), HT Motors & Sliprings, Weigh Feeders, and IO panels/signals. Control System Support: Provide technical support and initial troubleshooting for PLCs/DCS (Programmable Logic Controllers/Distributed Control Systems) and SCADA systems. Technical Interpretation: Utilize the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide maintenance and repair activities. High-Voltage Safety: Work safely and proficiently with high-voltage (HT) electrical systems and equipment, including power transformers and switchgear. Coordination & Communication: Maintain effective communication with control room operators, other shift engineers, and maintenance teams to coordinate repairs and handovers. Recruitment Qualifications And RequirementsMust have completed an Electrical Engineering degree (B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or equivalent). At least 2 years of experience in electrical maintenance, operations, or engineering within a heavy process industry (e.g., Cement, Mining, Steel, Power). Core Equipment Knowledge: Strong practical and theoretical knowledge of Electrical MCC, PMCC, PCC, VFD, IO panel, HT Motor & Slipring, and HT panel. Control Systems: Fundamental knowledge of PLC/SCADA and the troubleshooting of PLCs/DCS. Plant-Specific Systems: Familiarity with the electrical and instrumentation systems typically used in cement plants (e.g., rotary kilns, raw mills, cement mills, and conveyors). Documentation Proficiency: Proven ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals accurately. Work Environment: Ability to work in a shift-based role requiring responsiveness during continuous production.
