Engineering Architect

We’re Hiring: Engineering Architect📍 Location: Lisbon🕓 Work Model: Hybrid (2 days per week at the office)We are looking for an Engineering Architect to join a dynamic, international team focused on advancing technology practices and improving engineering tools and processes. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise across multiple layers of the technology stack, a solid understanding of architecture principles, and experience in guiding teams to deliver high-quality solutions.🎯 Main Responsibilities:Contribute to studies on programming languages and developer frameworks across the technology stack.Ensure application teams adhere to technology standards when designing and building solutions.Review and contribute to technical designs and specifications.Identify, manage, and report technical risks.Perform and contribute to technology domain studies.Validate technologies and software used across applications.Suggest innovative technical practices to improve efficiency and quality.Participate in Proof of Concepts (PoCs) or technical assessments of emerging technologies.Drive efficiency improvements and adoption of modern engineering practices within the team.Contribute to the evolution of DevSecOps toolchains.🧠 Technical Skills:Proven expertise as a Technology Architect across multiple programming languages and architecture patterns.Experience with Cloud solutions, including KaaS, IaaS, and PaaS hosting environments.Solid experience in developing production-deployed complex software applications.Ability to guide teams in applying architectural principles, guidelines, and patterns.Strong knowledge of various application architectures, including monolithic, n-tier, SOA, and microservices deployed in cloud or virtualized environments.Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools.Knowledge of middleware components such as WAF, VIP, Load Balancer, MQ, Event Broker, API Gateway, etc.Solid understanding of IT security concepts: encryption, authentication, authorization, vulnerability management, threat analysis.Strong analytical and abstract thinking to assess technical designs against organizational standards.Ability to synthesize and present technical reports to management.Exposure to the financial or banking domain is a plus.💬 Soft Skills:Self-motivated with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Ability to work in a dynamic, international, and bilingual environment.Team player, collaborative, and willing to contribute to the team’s success.🌍 Language Skills:English: ExpertFrench: Optional / Nice to have🧩 Additional Information:Hybrid work model: 2 days per week at the office.Must be able to commute to the Lisbon office when required.Candidates must be located in mainland Portugal.
