Key Duties And ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain all operational equipment throughout the hotel including physical plant, guest rooms and public areas. Develop, implement, and maintain efficient maintenance systems and work-order processes to ensure timely repairs, replacements, and special projects. Maintain accurate departmental records, including inventory control, procurement and operating costs. Supervise daily operations of the Engineering Department and ensure adherence to company standards and specifications. Liaise with department heads to coordinate maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to guest services. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Ocean Club Engineering Department.

Ensures all jobs are completed in accordance with the correct specifications and the standards required by the hotel. Ensures all engineering staff comply with company policies, dress codes, and safety standards. Maintains effective interdepartmental communication. Responsible for the supervision of special projects. Ensures emergency systems are in place and functioning at the highest level of efficiency. Responds to any alarms that escalate into emergencies. Develops employees and coordinates training programs. Maintains sound knowledge of the company’s facilities and related services. Maintains confidentiality of information always received.

Performs all duties and responsibilities to the standard set out by the company. Required Skills & CompetenciesStrong computer skills, including proficiency with maintenance management software, inventory systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, safety regulations, and maintenance manuals. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interact effectively with staff, management, and vendors. Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management. Strong organizational and planning abilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
