Enterprise Data Architect

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Data Architect with a strong background in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry to design, build, and manage scalable data architectures leveraging Microsoft Fabric platform capabilities. You will work closely with data engineering, analytics, and BI teams, as well as business stakeholders, product owners, and other key stakeholders to implement robust data solutions that support business intelligence and advanced analytics initiatives tailored to the CPG domain. Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric components.Define data modeling standards, including dimensional and normalized data models suitable for reporting and analytics in the CPG industry.Lead the ingestion, transformation, and integration of data from diverse sources into the Fabric environment.Collaborate with data engineers to build robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Warehouse, Spark and OneLakeOptimize data storage and query performance for large-scale analytics workloads.Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices.Develop and maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and documentation to support data discovery and usability.Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and other relevant teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions specific to the CPG sector.Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure alignment of data initiatives with organizational goals.Monitor and troubleshoot data platform issues and provide ongoing enhancements.Stay updated with Microsoft Fabric platform updates and industry best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience in data architect role, and overall experience of 12+ years.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric platform (Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI Fabric).Strong skills in data modeling, database design, and schema optimization.Proficient in SQL, Spark, Python, and Power BI/DAX.Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines.Solid understanding of cloud data platforms and big data concepts.Must have experience working in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry with a deep understanding of its data and business challenges.Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven experience working cross-functionally with business and product teams. 5+ years of experience in data architect role, and overall experience of 12+ years.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric platform (Fabric Warehouse, Spark, OneLake, Azure Data Lake Storage, Power BI Fabric).Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Azure Data Factory or Synapse Pipelines.
