Equity Research Associate – (Financials, Metals and Mining, and Energy)

Job DescriptionJefferies is seeking an Associate to join our Canadian Research team in Toronto. The associate will be working for all three of the Canadian analysts (Financials, Metals and Mining, and Energy). The role involves supporting coverage of companies under the direction of the Senior Analysts. Over time, the Associate will help communicate recommendations to sales, trading, and clients, and may participate in management meetings and industry conferences.Responsibilities:Building and maintaining financial models and industry databasesAssisting with earnings reports, company updates, and research publicationsGathering and analyzing data from filings, reports, and industry sourcesCollaborating with the broader global equity research teamsRequirements:1+ years of experience in equity research or investment bankingStrong analytical skills and Excel proficiencyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related fieldDetail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environmentAbout UsJefferies is a leading global, full-service investment banking and capital markets firm that provides advisory, sales and trading, research, and wealth and asset management services.
